Banana Berry Smoothie Bowl

Move over SNOG the fruit bowl smoothie has arrived!

Happy weekend all! Can I just say it’s great to see the sun is out and that spring has finally arrived! Let’s be honest it was beginning to feel like winter was here to stay forever. I cannot tell you how excited I am about being able to go outside in a jacket..dare I say even without a jacket? But now the weather has improved I do feel somewhat more health conscious and with summer just around the corner I feel compelled to add some “healthier recipes” on this blog. I cannot promise the Sunday baking will stop (it will never stop). But expect to see more fruit and veg concoctions on here very soon!

I’m a bit late to the smoothie bowl game but when I first heard about these I was desperate to get out there and make my own. If you have never tried one – seriously stop everything and go make one. They are the most delicious and filling fruit and ( and sometimes veg) bowls ever! The great thing about the banana berry smoothie bowl  is they are super easy to make, take no time at all to prepare and are oh so filling. I don’t know whether it’s the consistency of freshly blended frozen fruit or the extra sprinkle of fruity goodness on top but I definitely didn’t feel hungry after this. I chose to go for a mixture of berries along with banana but you can really add literally anything you want to this smoothie. I topped mine off with some chocolate sprinkles and an extra serving of berries but again feel free to amend this recipe with your favourite fruits!
